This article looks at how nutrition can help clinically ill cats with no appetite to avoid malnutrition, immunosuppression and hepatic lipidosis. The current approach consists in increasing nutrient intake via feeding tubes, and recent evaluations showed that oesophagostomy tubes are associated with minimal complications.
