This paper reviews the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids form marine oils, a vastly-researched dietary ingredient in modern human and veterinary nutrition. However, the establishment of a minimum level of dietary omega-3 is a puzzling task due to numerous factors. Therefore, new studies linking omega-3 FA to vital biological functions and life stages are needed.
