This study investigates the decrease of Wnt/beta-catenin signalling in the heart of aged rodents, and how dietary intervention can upregulate this signalling and return it to normal levels in early life. Therefore, beta-catenin may be a good cardiac aging biomarker. The molecular bases of these changes are proposed.
